Tips for submitting an abstract for EAUN26

The 26th International Meeting of the European Association of Urology Nurses (EAUN26) is only six months away! This is the perfect time to prepare your abstract if you wish to present your research or development project to your European peers. Presenting your research during EAUN26 offers a unique opportunity to share your findings and implications for nursing practice with fellow urological enthusiasts.

Please note that fewer than 30 abstracts will be accepted, and the competition is fierce, with only about one-third of submissions being selected each year. The abstract submission deadline is set for November 1, 2025.

To help you succeed and ensure your abstract receives the attention it deserves, consider the following practical tips:

  • Ensure your abstract is relevant to nurses
  • Deliver your message concisely and review your text carefully to avoid grammatical or spelling errors
  • Structure your abstract clearly by stating the problem, describing your methods, presenting your results and drawing a conclusion
  • Highlight your key take-home messages and discuss the implications of your study for nursing practice
  • Ask a mentor or colleague to review your abstract for factual errors and unclear writing
  • Avoid submitting in the final hour!
  • Read ‘Abstract & Video Submission’ rules – Abstract & Video Instructions
  • Read EAUN guidance on how to design a good abstract and poster is available here

For more guidance, and to support you with your preparations, the EAUN Scientific Committee Chairs will host a live Q&A session via Zoom on 29 September, 19:00 CEST. We want to focus on the topics that matter most to you, so we invite you to submit your questions and register in advance via this form. (Deadline to send questions: 15 September 2025).

The Zoom link will be sent prior to the session. If you can’t attend live, don’t worry – the recording will be available on the EAUN26 website afterwards.Your input will shape the Q&A discussion, and even if your question isn’t addressed live, it will help us understand what matters most to submitters.
