Who we are

The European Association of Urology Nurses (EAUN) unites over 3,000 urological care nurses to advance the field and improve patient outcomes. It offers an educational platform for sharing best practices, supporting research, providing advanced training, and collaborating on healthcare policies.

Aims and objectives

  • To act as the representative body for European nurses in urology and facilitate the continued development of urological nursing in all its aspects;
  • To foster the highest standards of urological nursing care throughout Europe;
  • To encourage urology research undertaken by nurses and enable the broadcasting of its results;
  • To promote the exchange of experience and good practice between its members;
  • To establish standards for training and practice for European urological nurses;
  • To contribute to the determination of European urological health care policies
  • To liaise and collaborate with other organisations in the field of urology, particularly the European Association of Urology.

EAUN History

The EAUN began with its first urology nurses’ meeting in Brussels in 2000, leading to the formation of a board in 2001. Since then, it has introduced guidelines, fellowships, webinars, podcasts, Special Interest Groups, and the Scientific Congress Office, and established the Annual International Nurses' Meeting and the ERUS-EAUN Robotic Urology Nursing Meeting.
