ERUS-EAUN26 offers unique training for nurses working in robotic urology
We are proud to announce the 2026 edition of the ERUS-EAUN Robotic Urology Nursing Meeting which will take place from 9-11 September 2026. By collaborating with the EAU and ERUS, we are able to provide an educational platform based on best practice.
The scientific programme includes sessions on the impact of robotics within the surgical pathway, non-surgical predictors of recovery, theatre utilisation and efficiency within the robotic OR, emergency scenarios, steps in becoming a first assistant in surgery, ergonomics, and 3D models. During the meeting there will be ample opportunity to network with key-opinion leaders, OR nurses and RNFAs working in robot-assisted urology surgery.
Submit your abstract for the nursing programme
Abstract submission is open for OR nurses and RNFAs working in robot-assisted urology surgery. The successful posters and videos will be presented during the nursing programme on 9 September.
The scientific committee will select abstracts according to their scientific and practical merits. The first author should be a nurse or assistant working in robotics and be present at the meeting. The most valuable poster and video will win a free registration to ERUS27!
Submit your abstract for the abstract type 'Poster ERUS-EAUN' or 'Video ERUS-EAUN' by 31 July 2026.
Hands-on training: Robotic Emergency Simulation Day
On Thursday 10 September, as a delegate you will have the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses to undertake simulation-based robotic surgery crisis training in a real hospital theatre. The programme emphasises structured debriefing, leadership, communication, and decision-making under pressure in a crisis, applying evidence-based safety principles to high-risk surgical emergencies. More details to follow, and registration will open soon.
Hospital visit
On the afternoon of Tuesday 8 September, nurses are invited to join an educational visit to the Azienda Ospedaliera di Padova for a tour of the hospital’s main operating room, as well as lectures on the "History of medicine in Padova" and "Healthcare today". The programme also includes a guided tour of the Anatomical Theatre at the University of Padova and a visit to the Basilica of Sant'Antonio, followed by a walk through the historic city centre to a restaurant for the nurses' dinner. Please contact us by email if you are interested in attending the hospital visit.
