The 7th ESUN Course on Improving NMIBC patient pathways (incl. intravesical therapy and laser ablation) organised by the European School of Urology Nurses (ESUN) will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, on 9-10 November 2024.
This course gives an update in the field of non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, has a practical approach and will provide applicable recommendations from Europe’s top experts.

Do you appreciate state-of-the-art lectures and applicable recommendations from Europe’s top experts? Are you an experienced practising nurse specialist who treats bladder cancer patients and teaches other health care professionals to treat them? If so, you will most certainly want to join us at the 7th ESUN Course in Lisbon, 9-10 November 2024.
This course combines all the best features of an educational event – interaction, group work, latest updates and established evidence-based recommendations. We have invited renowned experts in the field, from a theoretical and practical point of view, who will train you with the purpose to help you spread the latest insights in the field.

Application deadline: 22 September 2024
The number of participants is limited to 30, therefore candidates will be selected by means of an online application form reviewed by the organising committee. Selection by the organising committee will take place in the last week of September, is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Aims and objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Describe the epidemiology, risk factors and treatment options for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC)
- Understand the management and treatment of side effects of intravesical therapies
- Outline future developments for NMIBC
- Understand the importance of effective communication and skills required for interacting with our bladder cancer patients and families
- Learn how to develop additional nurse-led services within your hospitals and communities
- Describe the importance of quality of life needs and what is required to improve the patients with NMIBC pathways
- Take home ideas for improving local bladder cancer pathways with knowledge, networking and collaboration with colleagues through an excellent interactive workshop
Registration fees
Registration fee for the full course is €130 (incl. VAT) for EAUN members and €175 (incl. VAT) for non-EAUN members.
The EAUN books your hotel room for one night and reimburses your economy flight (max. 500 euro). No other travel costs will be reimbursed.
Accreditation
The 7th ESUN Course (9-10 November 2024, Lisbon, Portugal), has been accredited within the EU-ACME/CNE programme for a maximum of 8,00 hour(s) of CNE credit(s) by the EUAB-CNE (European Urology Accreditation Board – Continuing Nursing Education).
Within the EU-ACNE programme, the activities are accredited following the rule – 1 credit per hour (in 0.25 increments), with a maximum of 8 credits per day.
Each delegate should only claim credits for the time that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
