Systemic treatments for prostate cancer: Promoting wellness and improving quality of life and adherence
The 6th ESUN Course on Systemic treatments for prostate cancer organised by the European School of Urology Nurses (ESUN) will take place on 9-10 November 2024 in Lisbon, Portugal.
The past decade has seen the introduction of new systemic therapies to improve survival for men with advanced prostate cancer, with androgen deprivation therapy as the cornerstone of treatment through the pathway. The role of the nurse to improve adherence, quality of life and long-term metabolic health is imperative to ensure that men have access to these life extending treatments.
This course gives an update on oral systemic therapies, the possible side effects including metabolic changes, and will provide strategies for managing side effects and promoting health from Europe’s top experts. This course combines all the best features of an educational event – interaction, group work, latest updates and established evidence-based recommendations. We have invited renowned experts in the field, who will be working with the course participants sharing today’s must-know information and leading the discussion on the most relevant clinical issues.
EMUC24
The course will take place in conjunction with:
- 7th ESUN Course on Improving NMIBC patient pathways (incl. intravesical therapy and laser ablation), and the
